Suraj Aryal is an accomplished Education Counsellor, Public Relations Officer, and an entrepreneur, with a strong foundation in community engagement and student support. Holding a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) from Edith Cowan University, Suraj combines compassionate guidance with strategic communication to support international students in achieving their academic and personal goals. His role as a Counsellor, has been pivotal in helping students navigate the complexities of the Australian education system, while also building meaningful relationships through public relations and outreach. Beyond his professional career, Suraj is a founding member of YUWA Inc, a not-for-profit organisation empowering Nepalese youth and professionals in Australia. He has held key leadership roles within the organisation, serving as Secretary (2021–2023), Vice President (2023–2025), and currently as the President, where he continues to lead with vision, integrity, and a deep sense of responsibility to the community. Suraj’s journey reflects a unique blend of social work values, cross-cultural expertise, and entrepreneurial drive—making him a respected voice in both the education sector and community leadership.

Ms. Laxmi Ghimire

Laxmi Ghimire is a dynamic entrepreneur and a PhD candidate at Curtin University, where she is conducting advanced research on plant protein functionality. With three years of professional experience in the food industry, Laxmi brings a unique blend of scientific expertise and practical know-how to her work in food innovation and sustainability. A passionate community leader, Laxmi is a founding member of YUWA Inc, a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to uplifting Nepalese youth and professionals in Australia. She served as Secretary from 2021 o 2023 where she demonstrated exceptional organisational and leadership skills. In 2025, she was elected Vice President, continuing her strong commitment to community engagement, empowerment, and development. Laxmi’s journey reflects a powerful combination of academic excellence, entrepreneurial spirit, and grassroots leadership—driven by a vision to create meaningful impact both in science and in society.

Mr. Vijay Guragain

Bijay Humagain is a dedicated Senior Quality Assurance Officer with a strong background in environmental health and food science and technology. Holding a Graduate Diploma in Environmental Health from Curtin University and a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science and Technology from Tribhuvan University, Bijay combines scientific expertise with practical experience to ensure high standards in product quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. Bindu Nieure Kharel is a dynamic professional balancing leadership roles in hospitality, finance, and entrepreneurship. As the Assistant Manager at a renowned Nepalese restaurant in Perth, she excels in operations management, team coordination, and delivering exceptional customer experiences in a fast-paced environment. In addition to her hospitality expertise, Bindu serves as the Treasurer of YUWA Inc, where she manages financial oversight, budgeting, and resource allocation to support the organisation’s mission of empowering the Nepalese community in Australia. An entrepreneur at heart, Bindu is also the owner of Poshak Au, a business specialising in authentic Nepalese cultural dresses. Through Poshak Au, she promotes Nepalese heritage and culture, offering traditional attire to the community with passion and dedication. Bindu’s blend of management acumen, financial stewardship, and cultural entrepreneurship uniquely positions her as a leader committed to excellence and community empowerment.

Ms. Yamuna Nyaichyai

Yamuna currently serves as the Vice Secretary of YUWA Inc, where she plays a vital role in organisational coordination, communication, and community engagement. Beyond her administrative responsibilities, she is an active voice in the community through her hosting of YUWA Podcast sessions and her personal podcast, Colors of Perth, where she explores diverse stories and experiences within the local community. Passionate about social justice, Yamuna is a dedicated advocate against human trafficking, championing the cause through initiatives such as Every Daughter Matters.
